Schoolcraft College Night provides an opportunity for high school students and their parents to meet with representatives from over 80 colleges and universities—large/small, urban/suburban, public/private, in-state/out-of-state, etc. in order to explore college options. This community service event provides a unique experience for high school & Schoolcraft students intending to transfer to complete a bachelors degree. The open house format allows participants to drop in at any time during the event.
In addition, representatives from the Michigan Department of Treasury--Student Financial Services Bureau together with Schoolcraft College’s Financial aid Department will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
The Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers’ (MACRAO) is offering a new initiative for 2016 Fall College Fairs. An optional online registration process streamlines the data collection process for sanctioned events—including Schoolcraft College Night 2016. Each student attending the fair will have the opportunity to provide more detailed information and even elaborate on interests, extra-curricular activities, special accomplishments etc. about themselves.
With a few quick clicks, students are encouraged to fill out an online registration form PRIOR to attending the fair. This process generates a personalized barcode that each student can print or display on their smartphone and present to the colleges at the fair. The student information is quickly shared with the colleges of their choice accurately, in a more secure fashion. For details and registration information, please visit www.gotocollegefairs.com.
This 2016 event is free and open to the public.
