Business Seminars

Schoolcraft College's Business Development Center was created in 1985 to serve the special needs of the business community and to provide a single point of contact for individuals and companies seeking assistance in business start-up, government contracting and exporting.

Start-up

Schoolcraft College is a partner with the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) and serves as a Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (MSBTDC). Through these affiliations, Schoolcraft offers seminars, consulting, and other services designed to help entrepreneurs launch new business ventures.

Government contracting

It is a $200 billion pie, and to have a chance at getting a slice of it, your company must follow specific procedures and protocols – all of which can be learned at Schoolcraft, which is a federally endorsed Procurement and Technical Assistance Center (PTAC).

Overseas

Companies hoping to export products and services turn to Business Development Center staff for information, advice and education through informative seminars.

A library for business

The Business Resource Center is visible through glass walls just off the main lobby in Schoolcraft College’s VisTaTech conference and training center. The Center’s wide range of government publications, business magazines and other resources is available to the public by appointment.
