Example 2 Date Time Spent Entry Notes November 3, 2003 2.5 hours I spend time going over the comments that the other members of my team made about the first draft of my paper. When I first read Brad’s comment about my weak introduction I was upset because I worked very hard on it. But the other members of my group made the same comment so maybe it was not as good as I thought. I had expected my peers to be critical of the example on page two, but they said it was easy to understand. I guess it is true that writers benefit from good editors. I started working on revisions on the paper but started the easy ones first. I decided to save re-writing the introduction for later when I am not so tired and frustrated. In this research log, the student demonstrates that he is able to reflect on his activities rather than just record them. Such reflection helps the learning process.
