Evaluating Research:
Bibliography/Footnotes

The most credible web sites provide references to support their assertions.

Discussion

Without reading a word, we can assume that Ernest Kurtz's Not God: A History of Alcoholics Anonymous will be a quality publication because a third of the book is reference notes.

Special Notes on Web Pages

One of the features on materials produced by the Writing Fellows Program is the list of "References and Resources" that appear on our handouts, worksheets, lesson plans, and web site. Although references do not appear on every page, we believe that we have sufficient notes to demonstrate that the information on our web site is credible.
