Modify Assignments

Even with the best of planning, sometimes our assignments do not work. In such cases, we need to be willing to modify our expectations. For example, it might take students more time to complete a project than we anticipated and, as a result, it might be necessary to drop a later assignment. Or we might need to make some other types of adjustments so that students can master the course objectives without being too rushed at the end of the semester; a situation that an breed cheating.

If we use self-evaluation techniques to monitor student learning throughout the semester, we must be willing to respond to the feedback.
