Clarity

Individual faculty members and the college administration have a responsibility to establish clear definitions, procedures, and penalties.

In its document on “Student Rights and Responsibilities,” Schoolcraft College does have a policy that academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited and provides sanctions for students guilty of a variety of types of misconduct. However, individual faculty members are left of with responsibility of establishing definitions, procedures, and penalties at the classroom level.
