Course Description
This course will expand the students understanding of digital nonlinear editing. Students will learn how to manipulate digital media: digital video and audio, scanned images, and digitally created artwork and animations stored in several formats. Students will use programs such as Adobe Premiere or other application to arrange digital source files sequentially, add transitions and effects, and create graphics and 2D animation.

(A requirement that must be completed before taking this course.)
Course Competencies
Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- Apply common computer graphic file formats and integrate pixel and vector-based graphic images with audio files.
- Demonstrate the concepts of time and space with the manipulation available with transformation, motion tools and effect options.
- Modify images with masks and mattes plus the combining of masks and alpha channels.
- Utilize multiple layers plus texture and displacement maps.
- Demonstrate audio manipulation and the synchronization of images with timing and tracking options.
- Integrate these production skills with multiple motion graphics applications and rendering media.
