In response to industry demand, Schoolcraft College Occupational Program leaders, Manufacturing/Metallurgy faculty, and Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) members have met on several occasions to investigate the development of a Plastic Technology program at Schoolcraft College. As a result, the following two programs have been developed and launched.

Plastic Materials & Processing Industry Workshop

This 12-week industry workshop is designed for those working in the plastics industry who want to enhance their plastic materials and processing skills and apply the knowledge on the job.

Plastic Technology Credit Program

The Plastic Technology program offers three options for credit students. The curriculum is designed to help students acquire knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary to become a competent molding machine operator or technician.
