ESL 5 - English as a Second Language


Course Description

Polish your English language skills whether you plan to go to college or just want to do it for personal gratification. Expect to expand your vocabulary, improve your communication skills and grammar, and continue preparing for academic writing and reading. Prerequisite: completion of CES 7262 - ESL 4 with a minimum grade of 2.0, or before classes start, take an ESL placement test and score 115 or better. The Testing Center in the McDowell Building requires no appointment, but you must bring your student ID number, a photo ID (e.g. driver's license, passport) and your current address (including zip code). Allow at least 2.5 hours for the test. Testing Center hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-7:30pm, Fri 8am-4:30pm, Sat 10am-2pm; call 734-462-4806 for more information.**
