ESL 3 - English as a Second Language

Course Description

Continue to build upon the English skills you have already acquired. This class will take you to the next level of difficulty in all basic components of the English language presented in previous ESL classes. Prerequisite: completion of CES 7236 - ESL 2 with a minimum grade of 2.0; or a minimum grade of 2.0 in two of these courses: CES2 0070, CES2 0074 and CES2 0077; or before classes start take an ESL placement test and score 41 or better. The Testing Center in the McDowell Building requires no appointment, but you must bring your student ID number, a photo ID (e.g. driver's license, passport) and your current address (including zip code). Allow at least 2 hours for the test. Testing Center hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-7:30pm, Fri 8am-4:30pm, Sat 10am-2pm; call 734-462-4806 for more information.**
