Course Description

Increase your awareness of potential effects of stress on physical and mental health in order to preserve your well-being. Learn to recognize the signs of caregiver stress, reduce and manage this stress when it appears and prevent a decline in the quality of compassionate care. Recommendation: take CES 4303 Fundamentals of Dementia Care first. This class is required to complete the certificate. This class is approved for 2 continuing education contacts hours for nurses by Schoolcraft College, 2 continuing education contact hours for social workers by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative and 0.2 CEUs for other professionals.
