The PTAC of Schoolcraft College frequently offers training seminars to assist companies in becoming savvy in the government contracting arena. The seminars range from the basics of government contracting to complex agency and government initiatives. We are constantly developing new training programs and are always interested in your needs and interests for training.

Registration Assistance for Government Contractors

PTAC clients who are looking for assistance completing their Central Contractor Registration (CCR), SBA’s Small Business Dynamic Search, the State of Michigan Vendor Registration, or any other on-line registration are invited to attend this workshop. Counselors will be available to assist clients in understanding and finishing the steps required for their online registrations. In addition, clients will have the opportunity to complete their registrations, using our computer lab. Companies are required to come prepared with information vital to the completion of their registrations, contact the PTAC for information on this vital information!

ITAR Regulations Compliance

ITAR is International Traffic in Arms Regulations. This program provides in-depth information intended to inform, enhance and update the knowledge of those corporations and individuals engaging in, and considering entering into, defense activities. Participants will acquire a well-rounded overview of the essential elements of defense export controls. The presentation will cover how to apply for licenses, establishing compliance programs, as well as, hot topics and trends within ITAR.

GSA Federal Supply Schedules: Finding Your Way to the GSA

GSA (General Service Administration) Federal Supply Schedules are contracts that allow federal customers to acquire more than 4 million products and services directly from more than 8,600 commercial suppliers.

Mike Klewicki, a GSA expert, teaches clients how to navigate the confusing and sometimes intimidating GSA procurement area and Federal Supply Schedules. This class is intended for business people who would like to learn about Supply Schedules, buying potential, and marketing through a GSA Schedule.
