Whether you graduated or not, if you are a former student of Schoolcraft College, you’re part of a large family of fellow Ocelots who number more than 300,000.

We’re proud to say that we have alumni in all 50 states. Yet, we’re also proud that many of you have chosen to stay in our surrounding communities to use your knowledge and skills to benefit and strengthen the workplaces and community organizations in our service area. Whether you’ve stayed near campus or moved far away, we want to reconnect with you, recognize your accomplishments, and continue to assist you in achieving your goals. The Bell Tower is Schoolcraft College’s magazine for the Alumni & Friends program. We want to celebrate your accomplishments and to keep you in touch and in the know about your alma mater, Schoolcraft College.

Historical Exhibit Decades Videos

From its beginning, Schoolcraft College was created with the purpose to transform the lives of those it served. Now, a half century later the College has touched literally thousands of lives.

To honor this 50 year legacy, the Schoolcraft College Alumni Program sponsored a special essay project entitled “A Life Transformed”. The project was conceived to both celebrate the stories of our alumni and to give them the chance to impact the life of a future student.

Alumni were asked to submit an essay of 350 words or less describing the way in which Schoolcraft College transformed their life. After reviewing submissions one author was selected among a group of finalists to receive the honor of having a $1,000 scholarship awarded in their name to a future Schoolcraft College student.

Winning Author: Jodi (Langlois) Latuszek

"Schoolcraft gave me the confidence to think bigger. Without my experience at Schoolcraft, it is unlikely that I would have followed my dream of becoming a lawyer.” I wrote my essay because I wanted to tell other students that you can get ahead—you can do everything you hope to. And no matter what you want to study and become, come to Schoolcraft. They will give you the foundation you need to be successful in college, and in life."
