Choose the Student Category that best describes you. We will guide you through the appropriate steps to complete the admission and enrollment process.

Student Category Description
Advanced Standing Student You have a previous college degree and want to take additional college classes.
Continuing Education & Professional Development Student You do not wish to pursue a degree or college credit. You want to take classes for personal enrichment.
Commuting Canadian Student You are a Canadian who plans to commute to Schoolcraft College. You wish to pursue a degree or college credit.
Dual/Special High School Student You are currently in high school or being home schooled and wish to earn college and/or high school credit.
Guest Student You are currently attending another college or university and wish to transfer credits back to your home institution.
International Student You have or wish to obtain an F1 visa status. You wish to pursue a degree or college credit.
International Student with B1 or B2 visa status You have a visa status of B1 or B2. You wish to pursue a degree or college credit.
New Schoolcraft Student You have a high school diploma, GED, or are over the age of 18 (and your high school class has graduated). You wish to pursue a degree or college credit.
Other Student You do not have a high school diploma, GED, or are under the age of 18 and you are not in high school or being home schooled.
Permanent Resident or Refugee Student You have a Resident Alien Card, or are under Refugee Status. You wish to pursue a degree or college credit.
Returning Schoolcraft Student You have attended Schoolcraft before and wish to re-admit.
Virtual Learning Collaborative Student You wish to enroll in classes provided by Schoolcraft College through the Michigan Community College Virtual Learning Collaborative (MCCVLC).
