Guest Students
Typically, Guest students are those who wish to take classes at Schoolcraft College to transfer back to their home institutions. Guest applications must bear the home college's institutional seal and Registrar's signature designating the course(s) you plan to take at Schoolcraft College. If this doesn't describe you, select another category.
Guest students pay all tuition and fees, as applicable, and are not eligible for financial aid funds.
Note: A guest application is valid only in the semester for which it is authorized. You must submit a new guest application each semester you wish to attend Schoolcraft College.
Note: The transferability of credits back to your home institution is not guaranteed.
Note: Students not submitting a Michigan Uniform Guest Application or application for admission without an approval letter may not be exempt from Schoolcraft College admission or enrollment requirements.
Before your classes:
- Submit a completed Michigan Uniform Guest Application if your home institution is within the State of Michigan.
Out of State Guest students can fill out our traditional application for admission, but must provide a letter from their home institution indicating approval of guest status. The letter must bear the home college's institutional seal and Registrar's signature designating the course(s) you plan to take at Schoolcraft College. - Complete assessment testing (optional)
- Visit a Schoolcraft Counselor (optional)
- Register and pay using WebAdvisor, telephone or walk-in options.
Advanced Standing Students have a previous college degree and want to take additional college classes.
Follow these steps to successfully complete the admissions/enrollment process:
- Submit a completed application.
- Submit all official transcripts to us.
- Visit the Counseling Office only if you are interested in applying to a limited enrollment program.
After your classes:
Request your official Schoolcraft College transcript be sent to the home institution.
