Admissions Criteria
As a community college, Schoolcraft College has open admissions and there is no fee to apply. Admissions is open to all applicants who are high school graduates as well as to those who have successfully completed the General Education Development (GED) test. Students who have not completed high school are also eligible for regular admission if their high school class has already graduated.
Students can also apply as high school dual enrolled students, guest students, and international students. Some academic programs/majors have additional criteria for admission and are called selective admissions. All admissions processes are available at on the Admissions website.
Previous applicants/students who have not attended for two years must reapply for admission. Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to all courses and programs of study. Exceptions to admissions criteria can be made by the Chief Student Enrollment Officer.
