Course Description

JavaScript is a powerful, object-based scripting language that can be embedded directly into HTML pages. JavaScript allows you to create dynamic, interactive Web-based applications that run completely within a Web browser. This course covers JavaScript as a client-side scripting language.

Prerequisites

(A requirement that must be completed before taking this course.)

Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  • Incorporate JavaScript into HTML.
  • Examine variables, literals and expressions.
  • Explore conditionals.
  • Explore validating form data with JavaScript.
  • Explain the use of functions.
  • Explore objects, properties and methods.
  • Manipulate data in arrays.
  • Explore handling events in JavaScript.
  • Examine debugging and error handling.
  • Examine the use of JavaScript cookies.
